One of my students is on their board and approached me about adding some artwork to the walls of their office building. Human Solutions' volunteer art comittee canvassed the area for local artists to add artwork to their office walls representative of the diversity of the people they seek to serve. Below are pictures of what we came up with. The work was done on September 23rd by two of my students, Carla and Jana, and myself.

This was our challange: camaflouge the electrical panals the took up a 4 foot by 4 foot space in the middle of one of the office area walls. Note: everyone else got to work on canvas in their own private art studios - we "got to" work on a very stationary wall!
I was impressed with the fire department - they said we could paint on it - just couldn't hang anything over it - the doors had to be readily accessible.

First we needed a plan...
I painted a mock-up that was submitted to the art committee and it was approved. So we taped it to the wall next to the panels and went to work.
And so it began...

You can see that I had a LOT of help!
As you can also see - we ALL had fun!
