We met at 8:30 a.m. at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in SE Portland. The room we were given was normally used for young children. Who knew it was so difficult to adjust the height of an "adjustable" table? Finally we got them up to adult height, then ran downstairs to get "big people" chairs!
MarJean Krupp, Master One-Stroke Painter, from Seattle area led a 10 hour workshop teaching a group of 8 women how to paint large format flowers on 30 x 40 inch canvases. Below are pictures of our progress throughout the day.

Backgrounds were done ahead of time to give us more time to work on the large flowers. Some of us did poppies, some did calla lilies.

Jana and Chris above start work on their poppies as Gerri, right, works on her lilies.

Intense concentration was not uncommon today as demonstrated by Brandie.

MarJean points out the "pouty" lip of the poppy petal

And a good time was had by all...
